'Eleven years ago, my mother took me to a concert organized by The Netherlands Musical Instrument Foundation, where young talents performed passionately. I loved it so much that I decided on the spot to become a donor myself.'
‘Since then, I've regularly attended presentation concerts organized by The Netherlands Musical Instrument Foundation, which always take place in exceptionally beautiful locations. My 19-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter often come along. They both play the piano, which has given them a greater appreciation for classical music. They don't play on stage by the way, but for themselves. Whenever my daughter sees a piano at a train station, she'll play it for a bit. She'd love to have a grand piano at home. I think that's because we regularly attend piano concerts at the Concertgebouw.’

‘Hopefully, my son and daughter's enthusiasm for classical music will inspire them to become donors too. My parents have always encouraged me to contribute to important causes. At home, we also try to involve our children in what we as a family want to support. The Netherlands Musical Instrument Foundation remains a constant priority. It's wonderful to know that this foundation enables young, talented musicians to play historical, unique, and valuable musical instruments.’
