Instruments for
refugees
The wars currently taking place is causing thousands of refugees to flee, for example to the Netherlands. These refugees also include professional musicians and music students. They often had to leave their instrument behind. The fled musicians are displaced, stressed and traumatized. By making a suitable instrument available, we hope to give them something special to hold onto.
Collecting instruments
The Netherlands Musical Instrument Foundation is coordinating an emergency action to make musical instruments quickly available to refugee musicians from, among others, Ukraine, Turkey and Syria. The instruments are donated or given on loan and can make a great contribution to the welfare of refugees.
Would you make your instrument available to a refugee? We could use your help immensely. Due to the large number of instruments offered, it may take a little longer for us to respond to your offer and make a suitable match.

Perhaps you know organizations that help refugees on their way? The registration of refugees is decentralized. The first question is not whether there is a need for a musical instrument. A roof over one's head, food, access to medical facilities, education for the children and finding your way around, regaining peace and regularity after a hectic flight, those are the first priorities. Therefore, we do not always reach musicians quickly and they may not know the action.
