Damage to your
instrument
An accident involving your instrument, theft or loss? You hope it never happens to you. If it does, please contact us as soon as possible.
Always contact us
Call, text or email Geertje van der Linden (06-48750992). She will reassure you and advise you on what to do. If you are unable to reach Geertje, please send an email to info@muziekinstrumentenfonds.nl.
Always notify us if there has been an accident involving the instrument, even if you cannot detect any damage. It often happens that no damage is visible at first, but that later it turns out that something has come loose or broken. Damage that is not reported, or is reported very late, may not be covered by insurance and will then be at the expense of the musician.
Written statement
In the event of damage, as a musician you must always draw up a written statement clearly stating when, where and how the damage occurred.
To which expert?
Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds decides which expert your instrument should be taken to. This expert will then draw up a damage report for the insurance company and arrange for the repair. Never have your instrument or bow repaired without our permission.
Accident, theft or loss
In the event of a accident, theft or loss, you must have the police draw up a report. If possible, collect the names and telephone numbers of any witnesses. In this case, too, contact Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds as soon as possible.
Insurance
We will contact the insurance company and settle the claim with them.
