Wow! While I'm worried about turning forty this year, it turns out I'm the youngest recurring donor to The Netherlands Musical Instruments Foundation at this age. I owe my decision to become a donor largely to my wife. She encouraged me to donate a portion of my income to charity. In the religious family she grew up in, it was customary to set aside ten percent of one's income for this purpose. That inspired me.'
‘To be honest, I'd never heard of The Netherlands Musical Instruments Foundation before until recently. I came across the foundation while searching for new charities. Every five years, I check whether the organizations I support still align with my values. The Netherlands Musical Instruments Foundation immediately seemed like a good option, as I love classical music. Before becoming a donor, I wanted to learn more about the foundation. I decided to read the annual report and got a very good feeling. Also, I took piano lessons as a child, and we're considering buying a piano. We think it would be nice for our five-year-old daughter, too. I'm glad I now know about this wonderful foundation. It feels right to me. I'll definitely bring The Netherlands Musical Instruments Foundation to the attention of my friends. So who knows: maybe I won't be the youngest donor before long.’
