Project-Based
Loan
For a special piece of music or project, a different instrument can make all the difference. If you’re playing Bach, a piccolo cello might be just what you’re looking for for the Sixth Suite. If you’re playing Mozart, try a classical bow and see how it changes your sound. Or do you play the flute? Maybe it’s time to go smaller with a piccolo, or bigger with a contrabass flute.
our project instruments
The Netherlands Musical Instrument Foundation has unique instruments and bows in its collection that we lend to musicians, orchestras, and ensembles on a project basis. These instruments can be borrowed for a limited, pre-specified period (up to a maximum of one year) in exchange for a fee. This allows musicians to have temporary access to an instrument. Examples include specific projects, a temporary secondary instrument, an introduction to historical performance practice, or a temporary solution while an instrument is being repaired.
