Martin de Ruiter & Ronald
Talsma donate annually

Martin (l.): ‘An open-air concert, birds singing along, a bumblebee briefly resting on a bow - we love that vibe. When nature and music reinforce each other. Therefore Ronald and I frequently organize concerts in our spacious backyard in Vorden.'

‘In 2020 we moved to the Achterhoek, where we get to enjoy peace, space and inspiration, which we share with other people. We do so by hosting tours, intimate concerts or lunches in our lovely backyard. Yesterday, for example, the local violin school performed various Bach sonatas. Ronald is a huge fan of this composer and he infected me with his contagious enthusiasm. Personally, I am a fervent lover of modern classical ballet, but we now also attend the Matthäus Passion every year in the Grote Kerk in Naarden.'

‘“The Musical
Instruments Foundation
doesn't know elitist hassle”’

‘We love supporting nice societies and non-profit organizations. The Netherlands Musical Instruments Foundation is very in reach, without any elitist hassle or pretentious behavior, which suits us. We have felt a connection with the foundation since 2012. That’s when we hosted our first concert at home with musicians who play on an instrument from the foundation. We hoped our guests would join us in becoming donors – and thankfully, they did! Of course we also attend the Presentatiefestival, organized by the foundation. Last year, we brought friends along. They, too, became donors immediately, for they loved it so much!
