Bequests and inheritances to the Musical Instrument Foundation make it possible to continue supporting musicians with exceptional instruments and to preserve valuable musical heritage. Through your bequest, you help pass on music to future generations.
The Musical Instrument Foundation
in your will
Bequests and inheritances are true gifts to the Musical Instrument Fund. Thanks to a bequest, for example, we were able to purchase a fantastic Guadagnini violin for star violinist Carla Leurs. The violin is now known as the “Zomer Violin,” named after the donor. With your bequest, you can ensure that more talented musicians have access to a suitable instrument and that cultural heritage is preserved for the future.
Inheritance or bequest
There are several ways to include the Musical Instrument Fund in your will. You can arrange this through a notary. If you name the fund as a (co-)heir—alongside, for example, family members or other organizations—the fund will receive a portion of your estate. If you bequeath a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or, for example, an instrument, this is considered a bequest. In this case, you name the Fund as the legatee.

No Inheritance Tax
A bequest to the Musical Instrument Fund from your estate is exempt from estate tax. The fund is designated as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI), which means it can use the full amount of your bequest to support musicians.
