History of this instrument

In 2007, this Steinway & Sons piano was donated to the Musical Instrument Fund. Unfortunately, the piano’s owner could no longer play herself and was not even able to formalize the donation on her own. Fortunately, her brother, acting as her official representative, was able to ensure that the piano would be put to the use his sister had intended. For a long time afterward, the brother and his wife remained in contact with the foundation and regularly attended concerts organized by it. The brother eventually passed away at the age of 101. Harmen Fraanje was the first to play the piano; after him came Robert van der Padt, and currently, Xavi Torres Vicente is the fortunate pianist.
