History of this instrument
Cyril van Lennep passed away in 2016. He was one of the founders of the Musical Instrument Fund and served as its first vice president. From 1988 until his death, he was deeply involved with the fund in a variety of capacities. Read the obituary here.
Cyril van Lennep bequeathed this Bechstein grand piano to the Musical Instrument Fund. Gabriele Zemaityte was the first to play the instrument, and now it is the turn of the young pianist Alex Hwang.
