The name Klop has become a household name internationally. In 1995, Gerrit’s son Henk Klop took over the reins and continued to run the business, together with a team of about ten dedicated employees. Since 2014, the third generation—grandson Niels—has also been working in the company.
Like many instrument makers of the Golden Age, Klop builds both organs and harpsichords. At first glance, these are completely different instruments. Yet they are closely related in terms of the required sound quality, playing characteristics, and precise woodworking techniques. The harpsichords and organs are built based on historical models. Nevertheless, there is still plenty of room for your personal input—both in the choice of the model instrument and in its exterior design and decoration.
