History of this instrument

In 2025, a former violinist donated her beloved violin to the Musical Instrument Fund. She had continued to play the instrument herself well into her old age, but now it was time for her to pass it on to a new generation of violinists. We are immensely grateful to her and will ensure that future generations of violinists will continue to make the violin sing for many years to come. In addition to her violin, this generous donor also donated all of her other instruments: no fewer than six violin bows, a viola, and a viola bow. Beatriz Li Rosão currently plays the violin.
