History of this instrument
This bow is part of a collection of bows that the Musical Instrument Fund can lend out in whole or in part on a project basis. The bows were commissioned by the Music Instrument Fund and crafted by contemporary bow makers based on authentic models. Both students and professional musicians may be eligible for a temporary loan. The Music Instrument Fund gives priority to projects in which the entire collection—or a large portion of it—is used. However, individual musicians and small ensembles may also apply for temporary use of a Baroque baton.
