History of this instrument
This Yamaha grand piano was donated to the Musical Instrument Fund in 2020 by the Rens-Holle Foundation. One condition was that the CruquiusConcerten Foundation be allowed to continue to hold the piano on loan. In fact, the Rens-Holle Foundation had already been lending the concert grand piano to Cruquius for many years. The Musical Instrument Fund has a special relationship with both the Rens-Holle Foundation and the CruquiusConcerten Foundation. The Rens-Holle Foundation has contributed to various restoration projects in the past. Musicians from the fund have been performing for many years as part of the high-quality concert programming of the CruquiusConcerten Foundation’s chamber music series at Fort Vijfhuizen. The foundation’s organizers are also true ambassadors for the Musical Instrument Fund. We are very grateful to the Rens-Holle Foundation for this wonderful addition to the collection and hope that many more talented pianists will play this grand piano.
