From home:
a website full of
stories
Our cultural and social lives are currently in disarray. For anyone looking for interesting reading material during these times: a visit to the website of Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds is 100% safe! The website is a treasure trove of wonderful stories and photos.
Our Collection Made Virtually Accessible
All 430-plus instruments are listed online with high-quality photos, their history, and a biography of the current player. Don't forget to use the filter to find the instrument you're looking for!
Biographies of Violin Makers
In less than a year, our volunteer Jan Boekhout has compiled even more comprehensive biographies of over 40 violin makers (e.g., Eugène Nicolas Sartory). Jan gathers information from books and specialized literature and conducts his own historical research. This research is unique and of great value to the Musical Instrument Fund.
Take a look around
We cordially invite you to explore our comprehensive website. Of course, we are currently working on adding more information so that the website can provide you with as complete a picture as possible.
