Taras Berchtold is a Swiss-Ukrainian pan flutist and pianist who is currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He is active as a performing musician and has gained concert experience throughout Europe, with performances at festivals and concert series in Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Romania, France, and the Netherlands. His performances range from large-scale open-air concerts to chamber music and solo recitals.
With support from the Musical Instrument Fund, Taras now plays a new professional Flentrop pan flute. This instrument is part of a specialized development project by Flentrop Orgelbouw and is designed to meet the high demands of advanced repertoire and to deliver great tonal precision. The improved design offers greater intonation stability, responsiveness, and dynamic range, thereby directly supporting Taras’s artistic development.
In addition to his activities as a performing musician, Taras is active as a teacher. He gives private lessons and masterclasses to students of various ages and skill levels.
