Monique Heidema

cello

This Romeo Antoniazzi still gives me the opportunity to continue developing as a musician. And I’m still far from having explored all the possibilities of this instrument!!

I’ve been playing this fantastic cello, the Romeo Antoniazzi from Cremona, for quite some time now. It’s not even that old an instrument (1923), but it’s still a cello with a soul that’s lived through a lot. Since I started playing this cello, many possibilities and opportunities have become a reality. In addition to the Indigo Piano Quartet, I’ve been able to give many wonderful concerts with various talented musicians from the Netherlands and abroad. The most amazing thing remains the color palette of this instrument. “Harmonizing” with others is a joy, and I’m constantly amazed by the even more hidden corners and new colors I discover in the Antoniazzi.
