Ivo Slootbeek

My name is Ivo Slootbeek. I’m incredibly happy to be able to play this beautiful viola, and I hope to learn a lot more about the instrument.
I was born in 2005 and started playing the violin four years later—and I’ve never regretted it.
My favorite part of playing the viola is performing with other musicians. I’ve been doing that since I was very young, and I’ve been playing with the NJSO since 2021, which I really enjoy.
At first, I was able to borrow this instrument on a project basis. I enjoyed it immensely even then, and I believe it helped me a great deal with the conservatory auditions I took with it.
In fact, thanks to this beautiful viola, I was accepted into the classical music program at the Amsterdam Conservatory in 2024. I hope to gain many more wonderful experiences and memories with this beautiful viola.
