My name is Esther de Bruijn. For many years now, I’ve been playing a violin from the Musical Instrument Fund, and I’m truly very happy with it! I’ve had a full-time job with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra since 1994, and every day I still feel how wonderful it is to play an instrument that I’m completely satisfied with. On top of that, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s an instrument from 1730, which makes it even more special. Just imagine what life was like back then. And this instrument has been through all those changes from then until now. It’s amazing!
