Dennis Levin
My name is Dennis Levin. I grew up in Israel, where I began my musical journey as a classical pianist. At a young age I transitioned to bass guitar, and at fifteen I found my main instrument—the double bass.
After completing my mandatory army service as a bass player in the Israeli Army Orchestra, I moved to the Netherlands to study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. During my years at the conservatory, I was fortunate to learn from inspiring teachers such as Clemens van der Feen, Servas Jensen, Ruud Ouwehand, and Frans van der Hoeven, who had a profound influence on my musical and artistic development.
I am currently dedicated to deepening my craft as a bass player and establishing myself as a reliable and musical sideman. Throughout my four years in the Netherlands, I have had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of my heroes, including Benjamin Herman, Timothy Banchet, Ian Cleaver, and others.
I am deeply honored and grateful to receive from the foundation the beautiful bass built by Daniël Royé. I will do my utmost to continue growing as a musician and to give this instrument the honor it truly deserves.
