I grew up in the Netherlands. I studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Davina van Wely and Viktor Liberman. After that, I studied with Igor Oistrakh at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. I also took lessons with Herman Krebbers, Ruggiero Ricci, and Ivry Gitlis.
I have won several Dutch and international prizes, including the Brahms Prize from the Brahms Gesellschaft Baden-Baden. In 1995, I won the Oskar Back National Violin Competition.
I am active as a soloist, chamber musician, and concertmaster.
