My name is Corinne Staal. Since 1989, I have been the proud owner of a grand piano on loan to me from the Musical Instrument Fund. During the final year of my conservatory studies in classical piano, I was able to prepare for my exam. The grand piano gave me a new source of inspiration. After successfully completing my studies, I turned my attention to light music. Improvisation is my passion.
In my studio in my backyard, I can retreat to give shape and sound to my ideas. I set song lyrics and poems to music. My compositions can be heard on various CDs. I have accompanied various singers in theater productions. I also play pleasant background music—sometimes well-known pieces, other times my own improvisations.
