Hi, I’m Caitlin, and I have boundless energy and passion when it comes to music! I’m very happy with my instrument from the Musical Instrument Fund, and I play it in various chamber orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
I’m Caitlin, a violinist, and I play a violin and use a bow provided by the Music Instrument Fund. This has really helped me bring even more creativity and expression to my playing. I studied at conservatories in The Hague and Brussels and have also participated in many international masterclasses and festivals. Since October 2018, I have been the permanent first violinist in the Ciconia Consort, and since September 2019, I have also been a member of the string orchestra Kamerata Zuid. In addition, I occasionally substitute for larger orchestras in the Netherlands and regularly perform in smaller ensembles. In addition to my conservatory training, I studied Art History and Artistic Research at the University of Amsterdam. There, I was challenged to compose my own music and explore intersections with other disciplines, which led, among other things, to my creating a soundtrack for a short film. I get excited about projects that challenge me and push me out of my comfort zone, and I always try to seek these out!
