My name is Bas Jongen (1992), and my greatest passion is chamber music. Originally from the southernmost tip of the Netherlands, I have been enjoying instruments from the Musical Instrument Fund for several years now; they have accompanied me throughout my studies in Amsterdam, Zagreb, Vienna, and Stockholm. For the past few years, I’ve had the great honor of playing the 1696 cello—an absolute beauty with a honey-sweet tone that makes anything possible! I’m also incredibly proud and deeply grateful to be able to share a piece of Dutch heritage with the world through my concert tours!
