Ansfried Plat

My name is Ansfried Plat. Since 1999, I have been on loan from the Musical Instrument Fund this beautiful cello, built by Jaap Bolink.

I was immediately very happy with this cello. Its sound blends very well with that of the cello section of my orchestra, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. And when I play a solo in the orchestra, and the sound of my cello stands out from the ensemble, it becomes clear that my instrument also has great soloistic qualities.

This quality also enhances the sound of my piano trio, The Atlantic Trio. Over the years, I’ve received many compliments on the sound of my cello after performing a concert with my trio.

This cello, which I’ve been playing for over twenty years and with which I’ve shared so many experiences during that time, has proven to be a loyal friend who has never really let me down. I hope to continue playing this beautiful instrument for many years to come!
