violin, violin bow

Dear readers,

Thank you for visiting my profile page! Below, you can read about my violin, my bow, and myself. If you have any questions, please let me know.

My Violin, Bow, and Me

In July 2019, I became a member of the Musical Instrument Fund, and since July 2022, I’ve had the great pleasure of playing a beautiful violin, possibly built by the Voller Brothers (London) in the late 19th century, labeled “Stradivari 172?”

I am very grateful to the Musical Instrument Fund for giving me the opportunity to play this violin. I find it to be a truly special instrument. When I was allowed to try out several violins in June and I placed this one on my shoulder and began to play, it was love at first sight 😊—the deep tone of the G string and the lyricism on the higher strings: all in all, this violin was everything I was looking for! And my violin “understands” exactly what I want.

I also have a beautiful bow on loan from the Musical Instrument Fund. I’ve been playing this Seifert bow since July 2022 and have already thoroughly enjoyed its ease of play and the beautiful sound it produces. Of course, the combination of violin and bow is always very important, and I’ve been incredibly lucky in that regard! I’ve had the pleasure of giving concerts with this fantastic violin and bow, and I hope there will be many more to come in the future!
