Thomas M. Gerbeth

Thomas M. Gerberth studied under Wolfgang Durrschmidt and Rudolf Herbert Leicht, among others. Later, between 1991 and 1997, he continued his apprenticeship and worked with Richard Grunke. In 1997, he established his own workshop in Vienna. Thomas Gerberth has won prizes at various competitions, such as in Manchester in 1992 and 1994 and in Mittenwald in 1997. He approaches the craft from a highly technical perspective and has written numerous articles for trade journals. Gerberth is known for his exact replicas of antique French bows by makers such as Tourte, Persoit, and Peccatte. More information and articles can be found on his website.
