Jürgen Preyer

Jürgen Preyer (1970) grew up in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance in southern Germany. After completing his training at the violin-making school in Mittenwald, he worked for several years as a double bass and violin maker in Hamburg. In 1998, he moved to Groningen to study double bass at the conservatory. After earning his degree, Jürgen started his own company in 2001: Preyer Contrabassen. He also worked as a musician. The company now has three employees in addition to Jürgen and is based in Arnhem.
