Bernd Moosmann
In 1983, Bernd Moosmann took over the traditional Winnende-based company Kohlert and, together with a business partner, founded the company Kreul & Moosmann.
Since 1987, Bernd Moosmann has been the sole shareholder and managing director, and the company has operated under the name “Bernd Moosmann - Meisterwerkstätte für Holzblasinstrumente GmbH” ever since. The company’s own production includes bassoons and contrabassoons. Since 1992, clarinets in the German fingering system have also been offered in A and Bb tunings. Initially located in his father’s workshop in the old town of Waiblingen, the company moved in 1993 to a modern new building in the Eisental industrial park, which offers state-of-the-art facilities for production, offices, and visitors.
The company supplies its instruments to five continents and is regularly represented at international music fairs and conferences.
In 2003, the company celebrated its 20th anniversary—fittingly with a gala concert by the SWR Swing Fagottett at the Waiblingen community center. Bernd Moosmann GmbH celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Frankfurt Music Fair in 2008.
