History of this instrument
In 2014, the Musical Instrument Fund received this Yamaha grand piano as a gift from two sisters. Xenia Evers was the first pianist to play the instrument. During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Joel Gester Suárez temporarily had the grand piano in his home. You can read more about the initiative the fund launched at that time here:

Musicians talk about the “Key Quick Help Desk”
Here’s what Joel wrote to us in response to the campaign: “I am deeply grateful for your help, and very excited about Friday! It is frankly touching to see the solidarity your organization is showing. I will never get tired of mentioning this!”
When the conservatories reopened, the grand piano was supposed to be returned to the Musical Instrument Fund, but Joel submitted a request to borrow the piano, to which he had become very attached. His request was approved, and Joel is still the proud owner of the 1969 Yamaha.
