History of this instrument

This violin was originally loaned by its owner to the Oskar Back Study Fund Foundation. In 2009, this foundation transferred full management of the instrument collection to the Musical Instrument Fund. The owner of this violin, along with several other private owners of instruments from the “Oskar Back Collection,” agreed to transfer the loan to us. The following musicians played this violin on behalf of the Oskar Back Study Fund: Pedja Milosavljevic, Lois van Stekelenburg, Tijmen Huisingh, Hoei Lien The, Josine Jansen, and Gerrit van Putten. After the loan was transferred, Gerrit van Putten continued to play the violin. When he returned the violin after 8 years, Ernst Jan Vos succeeded him. Currently, İdil Yunkuş is the fortunate player of the violin from The Hague.
