History of this instrument
In 2016, the Musical Instrument Fund received this Steinway & Sons as a gift from a donor. Pierre Deligniez Calderon was the first to play the instrument, and Miki Kawashima-Barabino was the next lucky one. At the time of writing this text in 2024, the donor—who, in addition to this beautiful grand piano, also made an annual donation to us—was 100 years old. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2025. Pieter de Graaf is currently in charge of the instrument.
