History of this instrument
In 2015, this 1968 Steinway & Sons was donated to the Musical Instrument Fund. The children, who had inherited the grand piano from their mother, decided to donate the instrument to the foundation in the hope that it would bring joy to many pianists. And indeed it did; Helena Basilova was the lucky pianist to play the grand piano for some time. The grand piano was initially housed in her studio at the Uilenburgersjoel in Amsterdam. It is currently with Rei Fukuoka.
