History of this instrument
This harp was purchased for Merle van der Lijke in 2021. Together with her teacher, Erika Waardenburg, we found this beautiful harp at the harp shop “De Zingende Snaar.” We were fortunate to have first pick during the major harp exhibition of 2021 (organized by De Zingende Snaar). Both Salvi and Lyon & Healy presented their top models there, with multiple examples of each model on display. This one was truly the most beautiful!
Merle: “A new harp is a huge source of inspiration for me. It’s a journey of discovery: what can I do with it, and how do I get the most out of it?” When all the concerts and competitions were canceled due to COVID-19, I realized I still had the motivation to keep studying. That drive comes from within me. With this harp, I’m set for years to come.”
