Neupert

built in Hallstadt in ± 1992

A Neupert fortepiano, built in Hallstadt, ca. 1992. A copy of a model from ca. 1815 by Dulcken of Munich. Keyboard range: 6 octaves.

History of this instrument

In 2019, the then-private owner offered this Neupert fortepiano as a donation to the Musical Instrument Fund. During an evaluation by an expert and a prospective performer, the piano was found to be in virtually mint condition and to have a very fine sound. The Musical Instrument Fund is extremely grateful to the donor for his decision to entrust the Neupert to the Fund, thereby giving talented pianists the opportunity to develop their skills to the fullest on this exceptional instrument. Anders Muskens was the first to play the Neupert. Mako Kodama is currently the lucky one.
