History of this instrument
In 1994, the Musical Instrument Fund received this Daber cello bow and a cello on loan from a private individual. Following his death in 2017, we acquired the instruments from his estate. A specific condition set by the former owner was that Pepijn Meeuws would be the first to play the cello and the bow. He did so for nearly 24 years. Then it was Adriaan Schoonhoven’s turn; currently, Chieko Donker Duyvis is the lucky player of the bow from Lyon.
