Ukraine Campaign:
Viola for
Sergey Romansky
found!
Thanks to a donation made as part of the Ukraine relief effort, the Musical Instrument Fund was able to find a viola for Sergey Romansky. He is incredibly grateful!
The search for a viola is complete
On behalf of the Musical Instrument Fund, Jan Boekhout presented a viola to violist Sergey Romansky. Sergey had been eager to give concerts in the Netherlands, but had to leave his instruments behind when he fled Ukraine. As part of the Ukraine campaign to support refugee musicians, the instrument was donated by a donor from Hilversum. Sergey is incredibly grateful to the donor!

Sergey Romansky began his career in the Kyiv Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. He was a member of the Lysenko String Quartet and later a soloist with the Shevchenko Ukrainian National Opera. Ten years ago, he was named an “Honored Performance Artist of Ukraine” for his contribution to the development of viola music in Ukraine.
With the viola he received, he is able to give benefit concerts for Ukraine, often together with family members.
