Jury Chair Alexander Rinnooy Kan on our winning report:

“The annual report conveys a palpable sense of enthusiasm and passion for music. The overall winner excels at showcasing the character and drive of the organization, the people who work there, and the cause the funds support. The reader is drawn in and gets to experience the impact this organization makes.”

This year there were more entries than ever before (exactly 200). This is the first time in the history of the award that the winner is not from the “large institutions” category. Furthermore, the Musical Instrument Fund received the highest rating ever given to any recipient in the six-year history of the Transparant Prize (an 8.8).

The Musical Instrument Fund strives for the greatest possible transparency in its operations. This is reflected, among other things, in the organization of 75 concerts per year where donors and others can see and hear what the fund does, through the hosting of Open House events at its office, and through the publication of a fully transparent annual report.
