Nominated again
for the Transparant Prize!
The jury of the Transparant Prize has announced that the Musical Instrument Fund Foundation has once again been nominated for the award for the best annual report by a Dutch charitable organization. The foundation was also nominated for this award last year. At that time, it was also the fastest-rising organization among all fundraising institutions. The Transparency Award is presented annually to the charitable organization that produces the most insightful and distinctive public report.
In this selection process, the Musical Instrument Fund has been classified in Category II: Medium-sized institutions (€0.5 million – €2.5 million in revenue).
The Transparency Award is an initiative of PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Civil Society Netherlands Foundation. The goal of the Transparency Award is to promote the quality of reporting by charitable organizations through the sharing of best practices. The Transparency Award consists of a cash prize of €10,000 and a symbolic trophy.
The nomination for the Musical Instrument Fund Foundation underscores the importance it places on transparency in all its actions. The foundation demonstrates this, among other things, by:
its eligibility criteria (The Musical Instrument Fund only lends instruments if they can be heard on Dutch concert stages);
its approachable attitude toward donors (including literally, by holding Open House events at the office);
the organization of an increasing number of public events (a sixfold increase over the past three years) and
now, once again, the awarding of the nomination for the Transparency Prize.
The Musical Instrument Fund views this renewed nomination as an incentive to continue on its current path toward greater transparency in the future.
On Wednesday, October 10, the winners of the 2007 Transparant Prize will be announced in The Hague.Read our annual reports
