Nominated
for the
Transparant Prize!
The jury of the Transparant Prize announced this week that the Musical Instrument Fund Foundation has been nominated for the award for the best annual report of 2006. The Transparency Award is presented annually to a Dutch charitable organization that produces the most insightful and distinctive public report. In this competition, the Musical Instrument Fund has been placed in Category II: Medium-sized organizations (€0.5 million – €2.5 million in revenue).
The Transparency Award is an initiative of PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Dutch Donors Association. The goal of the Transparency Award is to promote the quality of reporting by charitable organizations through the sharing of best practices. The Transparency Award consists of a cash prize of €10,000 and a symbolic trophy.
The nomination for the Musical Instrument Fund Foundation underscores the importance it places on transparency in all its actions. The foundation demonstrates this, among other things, by:
its award criteria (the fund only lends instruments if they can be heard on Dutch concert stages);
its approachable attitude toward donors (including literally, by holding Open House events at the office);
the organization of an increasing number of public events (a sixfold increase over the past three years) and
now also the awarding of the nomination for the Transparant Prize.
The Musical Instrument Fund will, of course, continue on this path toward greater transparency in the future.
On Tuesday, October 10, the winners of the 2006 Transparant Prize will be announced in The Hague. The award ceremony will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nieuwe Kerk (Spui 125) in The Hague.Read our annual reports here
