Special concert featuring
violin and cello at
ArtCrew Hardenberg
Eddie, who is from Hardenberg, won a concert through a coloring contest organized by the Musical Instrument Fund. Duo Cibeles, consisting of violinist Francisco Deheza and cellist Suzanne van Duuren, will be traveling to ArtCrew Hardenberg. Eddie draws and paints there every Thursday. But on March 26, beautiful music will be performed especially for him.
Won
The Musical Instrument Fund organized the coloring contest to host classical concerts at special venues, particularly elementary schools. The coloring page was included in our Magazine, the foundation’s publication designed to inform its donors about the instrument collection and the musicians who play them. Three winners were selected from all the entries, and Eddie is one of them. A violin-and-cello duo was chosen to perform.
400 musicians
Co-founded by master violinist Theo Olof, the Musical Instrument Fund aims to provide professional musicians with high-quality musical instruments. To date, the Musical Instrument Fund has helped more than 2,500 musicians obtain a musical instrument. Janine Jansen, Liza Ferschtman, Quirine Viersen, Pieter Wispelwey, Rosanne Philippens, Nino Gvetadze, Lavinia Meijer, Ernst Reijseger, and Rick Stotijn play or have played an instrument from the Music Instrument Fund’s collection. The Musical Instrument Fund is a private foundation that receives no government subsidies. The Musical Instrument Fund currently loans instruments from its collection—which is currently valued at over €35 million—to approximately 400 musicians.
