Concerts
Music & Monuments Concerts is the successor to the NMF Chamber Music Festival at Natuurmonumenten. This year, the festival will take place one last time in October, but starting next year, we’ll be organizing concerts year-round in collaboration with Natuurmonumenten. Come listen to our musicians on October 4 and 5 at venues including the Marker Wadden and the Hiemstrastate Estate. It’s the perfect way to kick off fall!
For a whole year
Our biennial chamber music festival, which we organize in collaboration with Natuurmonumenten, is now called “Music & Monuments Concerts” starting this year. These intimate concerts at heritage sites now take place year-round, with one additional concert in 2025 during a festival weekend: on October 4 and 5. By spreading out the events, the venues, musicians, and you as a visitor have more flexibility.
This approach accommodates the breeding season, hibernating bats, or, for example, already full schedules. The venues can organize a concert with the Musical Instrument Fund whenever it’s convenient. Moreover, this approach contributes to ongoing visibility, and we showcase musical talent and cultural heritage all year round!
Relive the first concerts at the Haarzuilens Estate
On Saturday, June 28, the first notes of the Music & Monuments Concert Series rang out in the food forest at the Haarzuilens Estate. The singing birds (who normally provide the musical entertainment here) were joined by Ensemble Chosen. Among other pieces, they performed Klezmer and Armenian folk music.
