Live • The Sound of…
During the COVID-19 crisis in the spring of 2020, it was virtually impossible for many people to enjoy music outside their homes. That’s why the Musical Instrument Fund launched a series of concerts that were streamed live so that donors and other interested parties could still listen to live music. In this series of videos, you can watch these livestreamed concerts and enjoy a selection of talented musicians all over again.
More about Martje van Damme
Martje studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. She spends many hours playing a Grotrian-Steinweg grand piano on loan from the Musical Instrument Fund. Here she is performing with baritone Tiemo Wang, recorded live at the Concertgemaal. The Concertgemaal houses a 1909 Steinway-B from the collection of the Musical Instrument Fund.
