We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Jaring Walta (1941–2020). As a violinist, educator, and administrator, Jaring Walta played a significant role in the Dutch music scene.

The Musical Instrument Fund owes Jaring Walta a debt of infinite gratitude for his dedication as a member of our Advisory Board. He held that position virtually from the foundation’s inception in 1988, and it has been invaluable to us to have been able to draw on his knowledge and experience in the field of musical talent (and its development) for so long. We wish his family and friends strength as they cope with this great loss.
