#hArtforUkraine
Like everyone else, the team at Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds is deeply shocked by the events in Ukraine. We express our support for all those suffering from the violence of war.
In the music world, there’s room for people of all nationalities on one stage. We therefore wholeheartedly support the initiative #❤️rtforUkraine, in which various cultural institutions will be raising funds for the victims of the war on March 4, 5, and 6. All proceeds will be donated in full to Giro 555.
Benefit Concert
Many of the fund’s musicians also have ties to Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. Music brings people together, especially now. We are proud of our own musicians, pianists Anna Fedorova and Nino Gvetadze. On Sunday evening, March 6, the Concertgebouw, together with Anna (who is of Ukrainian descent) and Russian cellist Maya Fridman, is organizing a benefit concert for the victims of the war in Ukraine. Together with musical friends such as violinist Liza Ferschtman, pianist Nino Gvetadze, and violinist Rosanne Philippens, they will perform in the Main Hall. All proceeds from the concert will go to the partner aid organizations under Giro 555.
