Alice Sinacori
from Lorenzo Storioni

As of last week, we are officially known as Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds. Along with the name, our brand identity has also changed, as reflected on our website and in all our communications. We celebrated our new identity with an intimate concert featuring the 1778 Storioni viola. This exceptional viola is a new addition to our collection and has recently been on loan to Alice Sinacori. She had the honor of presenting this rare instrument—and the NOS Journaal was happy to share the moment!
The viola was played exclusively for a select audience, including members of our Instrument Committee and the Supervisory Board. And Radio 1 was there, too. After Director Manon Veenendaal unveiled our new name, Alice took the “stage” with the Storioni viola. Against the backdrop of the elegant new logo, she played a beautiful Bach suite. The radio microphone was positioned nearby, so that listeners across the country could experience the warmth of the instrument.

You want to hear the music, but of course you also want to take a moment to see such a beautiful viola. That same morning, we got a call: “Could the NOS Journaal stop by for a bit?” Of course! Frits Schutte (head of collections) talked about the process of acquiring the viola, and Alice spoke fondly about her first experiences with the instrument.
The presence of the media made this morning extra special. Kudos to Alice and Frits! Are you curious about the NOS Journaal broadcast? We were on TV at 11:15 p.m. (watch the replay starting at 00:12:45).
