Amsterdam Sinfonietta
On Saturday, March 5, Janine Jansen will perform a concert with Amsterdam Sinfonietta at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The program features works by Bach, Handel, Hartmann, and Walton.
For Amsterdam Sinfonietta and the Musical Instrument Foundation, the concert on March 5 at the Concertgebouw marks the beginning of a collaboration. The two partner organizations aim to strengthen their ties in the future by organizing and sponsoring (joint) projects.
This collaboration came about because no less than one-third of the musicians in the string ensemble have musical instruments on loan from Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds.
Furthermore, the Music Instrument Foundation’s collection consists largely of string instruments, and Janine Jansen joined the fund’s Advisory Committee a few months ago. Reasons enough to celebrate the concert on March 5 as the start of this first collaboration and to give 400 guests of the Foundation the opportunity to see Amsterdam Sinfonietta shine alongside Janine Jansen in the Main Hall of the Concertgebouw.
