Classical Concert
in the Station Hall
Farewell to Chairman
Wim Dik

Classical concert in the station hall leads to unprecedented scenes during Chairman Wim Dik’s farewell

An impressive performance by musicians from Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds, including the Netherlands’ greatest young talents, the Fancy Fiddlers, followed by top violinist Rosanne Philippens, composer/pianist Martin Fondse, and the ensemble FUSE, led to unprecedented scenes in the station hall of the Railway Museum. By the end of the concert, the more than 300 attendees could no longer remain seated and watched as the former and current chairpersons of Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds, former State Secretary Wim Dik and former Chair of the Council for Culture Els Swaab, spontaneously transform the concert hall into a dance hall together.
