Call for:
clarinet for
Amir
Amir from Iran is looking for a clarinet. Who can help Amir find a professional clarinet (on loan or as a gift)?
Amir (37), a musician, completed his master’s degree in “Clarinet and Saxophone” at the University of Tehran in Iran. He also studied composition, arranging, and piano there. He was a clarinetist in both the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and two professional wind ensembles. He was also a sought-after soloist in jazz bands and with pop artists, and worked as a teacher and producer.
This versatile musician was gradually prevented from working because of his sexual orientation. He fled to the Netherlands and had to leave his instruments behind. He now lives in Heiloo and plays with the local brass band, where they are very pleased with his skill and experience. However, he plays there on a borrowed instrument that does not quite meet professional standards.
A suitable clarinet
As part of the “Keep Playing” campaign, the Musical Instrument Fund received a number of clarinets, but unfortunately, none of them were suitable professional instruments. Perhaps we can still find a suitable clarinet within our network. We are looking for a clarinet with a French key system (for example, from Buffet Crampon or Selmer).
Please send any suggestions or questions by email to Ben Cartens. Thank you so much in advance for your help—also on behalf of Amir.
