Change in the
Supervisory Board
The Musical Instrument Fund has a very dedicated Board of Trustees. It is therefore unfortunate that we must say goodbye to a few highly valued members. Fortunately, we are also welcoming new ones.
Our chairperson, Els Swaab, has stepped down after nine years. We would have liked to have her with us even longer, but unfortunately, she had reached the maximum term allowed by our bylaws—three terms of three years each. In addition to being an experienced and knowledgeable chairperson, Els was well-versed in the world of culture. Her legal expertise proved invaluable, and she was a great ambassador for the fund.
Hans Honig, who has been a member of our Supervisory Board since 2022, will succeed her, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration.

Quirijn Korthals Altes is also stepping down from the board. With his background in finance, he, too, made a very valuable contribution. Quirijn was an incredibly loyal and dedicated member. All team members have developed a personal bond with him, partly due to his infectious enthusiasm and our shared concert experiences.
As a new member of the board, we welcome Anne Plaizier. We’ve known Anne for some time now through our collaboration with the Jumpstart Jr. Foundation, of which she is the director. We share the same passion for our beautiful instruments, and we’re very much looking forward to this new form of collaboration with her.
