Request:
viola bow
for Natalia

(We've found a bow in the meantime!) – Who can help Natalia, a violist from Ukraine, get a professional viola bow (on loan or as a gift)?

Natalia (47) is a violist. After fleeing Ukraine, she settled in the border region with Belgium. In her home country, she played with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra. Fortunately, she has been able to borrow a good viola here, but the bow is of questionable quality.

The “Doorspelen” project run by the Musical Instrument Fund now offers a wide and varied selection of instruments, but no (separate) bow for a viola.

With a good bow, Natalia can once again play music at her own level, inspire others, and perhaps try to come to terms with the hardships of being forced to flee.
